Turn breakfast into a special occasion with fluffy, delicious pancakes, dotted generously with chocolate chips. These multi-taskers also delight as a dessert. But their sweetness can be deceiving: They pack eight grams of plant-based protein, stacking up to a treat that's both satisfying and divine. Made with stone-ground whole wheat flour. No artificial flavors, synthetic colors or preservatives and no hydrogenated oils.

  • What You'll Need

  • 1 cup Chocolate Chip Pancake Mix

  • 1/2 cup 2% milk or water

  • Step 1:

    Preheat griddle over medium-low heat.

    Measure and level off pancake mix. (Do not pack.)

  • Step 2:

    Place pancake mix in a medium bowl, gradually whisk in milk or water. If batter is too thick, add 1 teaspoon milk or water. If batter is too thin, add 1-2 teaspoons of pancake mix.

  • Step 3:

    Lightly oil griddle.

    Pour slightly less than 1/4 cup batter onto hot griddle for each pancake.

    Cook until light golden brown (about 2 minutes).

    Flip pancakes over and cook until light golden brown on bottom (about 1 more minute).

  • Makes 6 pancakes.

  • For Richer Pancakes:

    Whisk 1 egg.

    Add 2 tablespoons melted butter (whisk until blended).

    Add 1/2 cup milk, then 1 cup + 1 tablespoon pancake mix (whisk until smooth).

    Cook pancakes as directed above.
